Volvo V50 D5 Diesel Estate
I have a fantastic Volvo V50, but have had to be towed home twice in the last month due to non-start.
It is a keyless entry and has 3 positions on the start button. I can turn it to position 1 and 2 as normal and all lights and information on dash come on as normal. It informs me to depress the clutch before start. I then turn the **** to position 3 and nothing happens. No noise, no whine, no sound at all. Dash lights still all stay on as normal but no turnover at all.
Any ideas please?
It goes to Volvo in 10 days time for service and check, but could do with knowing whether this is a problem for others?
Have tentatively been told it could be a problem between the starter motor and clutch switch or could be electronic fault. The latter could be extremely expensive!!!
