Default XC60 struggles to start after re.fuelling

Apologies I知 sure this topic has come up before but I知 new to this forum.
My 68 Reg XC60 has problems starting after I re-fuel. It starts fine after that initial problem until I need to put petrol in again. The Engine Management light has come on so I took it to the garage but after a week of looking and replacing a sensor and air filter they couldn稚 find anything wrong. The light still comes on and it still struggles to start but only after putting petrol in.

did they tell you what code was reported? Also what year is your model? If you can, start by doing your own OBD scan for the check engine light. My hunch is its probably tied to the evap system which is supposed to pull the gas vapors out of the tank into the intake to be burned (reducing emissions).

Thanks for your reply. It痴 a 2018 model. I知 based in the UK and we don稚 do our own OBD scans. The garage code was very
vague I believe and pointed at the sensor which turned out not to be faulty. I致e heard mention of the EVAP system so I値l pursue that with the garage. Thanks
