XC60 buyback?
Hi All,
so. A bit of a saga. I purchased a 2022 XC60 mimentum in November 2021. Purchased the car, not leased. Drove well for 6 months, had no issues with it until end of June, then it went into limp mode while driving on the highway. Had it towed to the dealership. And it’s been there ever since. So far, they’ve replaced the fuel pump, fuel line and some fuel pump sensors, to no avail. Up next is the knock sensor which is on back order. At the 2-month mark, someone in service mentioned a buyback from Volvo Canada. At least they have provided me with a loaner, and over 3 months I’ve racked up quite a few kms. They did tell me someone from head office was going to come by. Don’t think that went anywhere. From my last conversation with them, they’ve asked what I’d like to do next. I know very little about cars. I have previously owned 2 Audis and despite some challenges, never anything like this. Any ideas on to what to do next? Other repairs? Has anyone gone through a buyback? in Ontario Canada so no lemon laws. From reading other threads, sounds like the 2022 models issues.

I would take the buyback. The car obviously has serious issues which have not been resolved for 3 months. Would you trust it to be reliable after that? I would always be worried that the problem would return with my family in the car.
