I have a dog who has totally ruined the consoles of my last 2 wagons from standing on it with dirty paws and sharp toenails. I just got a new (to me) car with a nice black interior and want to protect it. Any recommendations?

Volvo makes several models/styles of dog gates - this one (for a 2008-2015 vxc70) folds up against the roof when not in use. They have others with smaller opening. Aftermarket companies make similar devices for usually less $$. Or use a doggy seatbelt in the back seat
