Question XC90 alarm keeps going off intermittently

Hey, My alarm keeps going off intermittently on my 2006 XC90. I have tried disconnecting the battery & reconnecting. Also, nothing is showing up on the diagnostic computer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what parts to start replacing? I would like to attempt my own repair. Is there any troubleshooting materials out there to purchase?

Well, it may be a door lock going bad, or other things. I know of only VOLVO reading what door is opened and monitoring what is going on and finding the problem. A scan might reveal a code. Any door lock intermittenly not working ????? may be a sign...

Unhappy No lights from door issues

The alarm eventually stopped going off. But after unlocking the vehicle, the message "alarm system service required" shows not allowing the regular messages to show i.e. gas mileage, etc. I did take it in for a repair estimate. For $500.00 I can live with it. I have the vehicle since 2006 and I would not buy another due to all the interior deterioration. Shame because I love the size & drive. I am looking at the rx350 now.
