I have a 2005 xc90 and am wanting to install and aux port. I've been looking all over online but can't find just the port for the xc90. Do I have to get a whole new radio interface?
I'm having bestbuy do the installation and they said I need a whole new radio system put in?

 

I just bought an 04 XC90 and I have the same questions. What did the folks at Best Buy tell you. I'm not against buying an after market radio but I would rather not. I've looked around also but haven't found anything about people "updating" these. Please post an update when you get this done.

 

I took it to best buy and they said they could put in an after market radio but it wouldn't have green accents, so I told them I didn't want it unless it was green (I have OCD and I wanted it to match all the other lights in the car)
The only other option was to buy JUST the aux port which was the same price as a whole new radio, which I thought was pretty dumb. So while I was there I bought an FM transmitter for about $65 and it works great. All you do is plug it into your phones headphone port and it uses the radio waves in the car to play the music from your phone.

 

Well...$65 to get what you want is good price. It's too bad that an aftermarket lights up with the wrong color, I thing some aftermarket decks would like really nice in there. Thanks for the update. I think I'll look into the transmitter also.
