I bought some used XC90 seats from a junkyard in the area to use in my sprinter Van. I believe they are the same seats that are found in several other Volvo models, the XC90 was a 2005(?) I have a disability so I was drawn to the electric recline and other features that this seat has. The wiring harness to the seat contains about 10 wires, several small colored wires and a big red and black one. Naturally we used the big red and black one and the seat works great! for 10 seconds... Then the ground needs to be disconnected and connected again... Then we get another 10 seconds.. The workaround we've come up with is to mount an interrupter switch on the side of the seat.

Does anybody know of a way to fix this problem so the seat just works without having to disconnect it every 10 seconds?? any leads or help are greatly appreciated..
