A couple years ago i did buy myself a xenon H7 HID kit 4300k for my car that time (alfa 156 sportwagon 1.9jtd) It always worked fine.

Now i have the V50 1.6diesel and i installed the xenon hid kit in it.
The problem is sometimes it flash off and on again, untill the balast go in error and than you need to turn off and on the switch again.

I was first thinking the balast was almost death, but when i put it just on a 12vbattery it don't have this problem, it only has the problem when the engine is turning around.

Anyone else has this problem, or a hid kit without problems?

I would check your voltage and earths at the power supply to the ballast box. They can be a little sensitive to low voltage. Sometimes teh ballast on my motorcycle won't light off till I increase revs slightly.
Remember that a HID bulb requires maximum current at start up.
