850 t5 obx turboback exhaust sound
Yah, I've been running the OBX for about a year now. I like it a lot too, good sound and quality for the price, I was surprised it fit so good, I was expecting it to be slightly too small or something.
I'm sure 3" all the way is awesome, but I don't think it's needed. Even IPD's exhaust is a 3" dp and down to 2.5" after the cat, same as OBX, 3" dp, and then the straight piece for a cat is 3", so it's half and half.
IMO I dont think a 3" is needed unless running higher boost on a larger turbo
Sounds good, cant wait to get mine out of my living room and onto my car lol
Did either of you feel a noticeable gain? Particularly you gilbert as I will be running an angle flange on mine

am i the only one who noticed the resemblance between the obx and ipd exhaust? obx you get two dp's where ipd want like 300 for one. i think they bought a sh** load of obx turbo backs added a cat and jacked the price
imo a great way to make profit.

No actually they just copied the OBX design and had a high flow cat included and it only has 1 downpipe. The IPD system is a grand whereas the OBX is less than half that with 2 downpipes.Thats a no-brainer.
The only way a turboback is even worth close to a thousand bucks is if its full 3" back and is titanium but most of those are not even that much.
