Drop-in filter (still have stock restrictions though), or Get a cone filter and slap it on the end of the MAF, then build a custom heat sheild. Those will be the cheapest routes.

Also check out EST.

K&N, Spectre, AEM...etc. The K&N and spectre filters can be found at autozone, but you will have to order the AEM from their site.

K&N and Spectre filters both use oil, and AEM uses a dry flow filter. If you are afraid of over oiling the other filters, then get the Dry flow ones.
You will have to meassure the MAF diameter to help you pick the right filter size (probably a 2 3/4" maybe 3").

As for the heat sheilds....you can whip one up fairly easy with some cardboard and High heat spray paint. Or use Alumi, or other material of you choice.

Here is what I did to mine: https://volvoforums.com/forum/intake-headers-exhaust-21/first-performance-mod-21483/

You mean like the chrome pipes I used? That was all from Spectre at Autozone. my whole intake cost ~$50. There are some guys that have some luck with some universal intake pipe kits on ebay.

Premade....well, like you said, EVOLVE and IPD and EST might.

I really am dissapointed that when it come to intake there are really no choices...I guess modin newer modle volvos hasnt taken off yet

Also do u know if the down pipe for the c30 would work with s40 t5

From EVOLVEs pics...they look like they mount at the same spots. see if you friend will let you test fit it.

check out this company called "snobb" they have some really great options

as for a filter i like k&n, drop a square one in your air box, drill a second hole in the box and rout a pope behind your fog light to feed it more air and get one of the pipe from snobb, great stuff!

Euro Sport Tuning is where i got mine, expect to pay some decent $ for a decent Air Filter.

You will have to order a K&N from their website, but the Euro Sport ones are made for volvos only, and have an option for a stainless steel mesh one.
