This is my first time on this site -- it's pretty cool and I appreciate any advice. I have a 98 S70 and the radio button lights don't work -- it makes using the radio at night difficult! Is this a fuse issue or what?? Thank you!

 

Bulbs are burn't out.

Very long complicated process to open radio and solder new bulbs in.

 

I replaced the bulbs in my SC-816 over the weekend and it required no soldering. There is a write up covering it on another site I believe...either swedespeed or volvo-forums. Do do have to take off the face plate and the circuit board but it isn't hard. Then the bulbs just screw in the back of the circuit board. If I can do it you can too. Also, I can confirm that Honda LED bulbs will work as replacements. They are 1/3 the cost of the Volvo bulbs.
