S80 Trim Ideas

S80 Trim Ideas
Is there any ideas from any members at all about this.
I want to replace all the burlwood with brushed aluminum, but no one makes anything for an S80. I was thinking about buying another set of the burlwood trim and laying really thin brushed aluminum over it, or maybe just trying to go ahead and lay it over the stuff I have? I don't know any custom shops that would do this kind of work and I'm kind of at a loss here.
Any help is appreciated,

I know this may sound daft but have you tried Volvo themselves? I have a V70 with the aluminium and a S80 with the wood trim and it looks as though the trim will fit on either models. It looks the same size at least! The only thing is there may be slightly different fixing points on the parts.
Try ordering the alminium bits from a S60/V70 and see what happens.
Cheers

Hi Drizz,
I don't know where you are based but i'm inthe uk, i currently have an S80 T6 with the Aluminium trim fitted, i'm going too have a look at a new interior tomorrow (Changing from half leather to full) with the new interior comes all the wood trim so if your close to me you are welcome to buy it off me?
I personally think the aluminium looks better but i own an executive car & limousine company and think wood would be more fitting.
It will be going on ebay soon
Cheers Phil

RE: S80 Trim Ideas
Volvo does have these parts. If you look on Vadis, there are many different options for the trim on the doors and dash(. Depending on the year of your s80. These are the part numbers for a 2000 s80 to change all the wood trim pieces to aluminum "mesh", which I think is the brushed aluminum as opposed to plain aluminum, which they also have. I've just been thinking about doing this myself, so here you go.
Gear lever **** for geartronic - 8636817
Rear Ashtray Cover - 8650870
Rear Above Ashtray Cover - 8650873
Console by ebrake,rear of shifter - 8650875
Dash left side - 8674713
Dash right side - 8674714
Front Doors -8652503, 8652504
Rear Doors - 8652505, 8652506
These part numbers will change depending on the year but the ones above are available from many different Volvo parts sites, Myswedishparts, BostonVolvo, TheVolvoSite.
Total for all of them is about $700-$800. If you need part numbers for a different year let me know.
