Default Timing belt job in SE Wisconsin

Hi all, been browsing around here a bit as needed, but this is my first post. I picked up a '94 850 a couple months ago and don't really know exactly when the belt was replaced last and where I'm at now with it, could be on very borrowed time as far as I know.

Could anyone recommend where I could have my timing belt replaced in the Milwaukee area for a good price? I do most car fixes on my own but get intimidated with certain things like this. Thanks! Sam

Default Possible Help

Hi Sam, I live in Kenosha, WI and I do not know about the Milwaukee area, but here in Kenosha we have a fantastic import mechanic who knows EVERYTHING about Volvo. I have a 1998 S70 that has been in our family since new and he has done everything for us. My S70 now has 239,000 miles on it and stills runs flawlessly. The mechanic does charge $90/hr, but he really knows what he is doing and will not bull**** you. The hour or so drive is well worth it if you ask me.

Thanks Patty, I'd like to give him a call and at least get a quote. Could you post/send his name or contact info. Thanks!

If you can replace brake pads, you can likely do the timing belt.

Hey I'm sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. The guy's name is Steve and he Owns Autosport by Steve LLC. His number is 262-652-5334. If you already had your timing belt done, again I am sorry for the late response. However, if anything else happens to your car, you can call him to take care of anything you need.
