Default 1978 volvo 265 GL wagon

I recently purchased this vehicle and I'm getting it ready for the road. It has the PRV/V6 motor in it and I read it was the least favorable motor but was wondering what the longevity of these motors are taken care of? Mine has 115k right now and fires right up. Any info would help.

Worked on many of those v-6s back in the day when they still ran. (and all other Volvos for 38 years)

The v-6s would eat cams and rockers - made a lot of money replacing them.

That's the only Volvo I would tell people - if someone gave me one - I would give it away.

Sorry, just my humble opinion. Drive it till it breaks and I hope you did not spend much on it.

Default Hmm

I must be really lucky on this one, I know the torque converter was replaced new before it was parked.it sounds really smooth. I wanna roll it to the ground, and then put the Ted block 4 cylinder in it :-)
