Default Wiper motor hookup

Last summer I replaced the wiper lever switch on my 1989 240 wagon afterthe switchburnedwhen thewiper motorwas dying.I put in a switch from a 1981 wagon. Everything seemed okay, but the motor went ahead and died.

I have puta new (rebuilt andlifetime guaranteed) motor on the car. There is electricity going to all three parts of theplug thathooks to the motor, but can't figure out why the motordoes not respond. Any ideas? [&:]

Default RE: Wiper motor hookup

For what it's worth. I had to repace the wiper motor in my 1990 240 wagon last summer. I initially did not get the motor to run, until I got a good ground for the motor. Mine was a parts store replacement and had a ground strap with it. I can't rember what I tried to use as a ground first, but it wasn't a good ground, when I found on it flew. Good Luck
