Default 1988 S-70 T-5 runs poorly and stalls

My 1988 S-70 ran fine one day and after a torrential downpour that it was driven through. Later on the next morning it idled roughly and did not want to rev much beyond 1200 RPM until warmed up. After that it ran OK but noticed it bogging down at times but eventually got better. It sat at work all day and started right up afterwards and ran fine on my 32 mile drive home. The next morning when it was raining again it barely wanted to idle it stayed between 300-500 RPM and constantly stalled. The other night after not driving it for a few days I tried starting it up and it ran fine. The next morning it was stalling and running rough again.

A Friend of mine who is a GM Zone Service Mgr. (so he does know something about cars) thought I may have bought some water laden gas (it was after a big storm) or there is something exposed in an electrical connection. He suggested buying a bottle of a product called :Techtronic" Fuel additive , fill up the tank and drive the hell out of it and see if it clears up. Any ideas? Or has anyone had a similar problem?

Adding dry gas won't hurt the car - its essentially isopropyl alcohol to allow any water to mix in with the fuel to the car. Other additives have detergents in them to help clean injectors etc as well. Most top brands of gas have detergents anyways so you may want to treat your car to a tank of 93. After that, I'd check spark plug wires and the distributor to make sure they didn't pick up moisture. May be time for a set of wires. Finally, you can look in the intake airbox and see if any moisture got in there.
