I'm new to this forum. I'm looking into buying a volvo as a 2nd car for commuting across the bridge. I don't know anyone who owns a Volvo that I can ask about it's reliability.

I saw a 1996 Volvo Wagon for $3500. How reliable is this year and is that a reasonable price? What are the common problems with this year of Volvo and is it expensive to repair? Thanks.

$3500.00 really isn't that bad.
Somewhat expensive but if you are a Diy er then it isn't that bad.
