Default 1996 Volvo 960 Wagon

I need HELP y'all!!! Recently bought a 960 Wagon, have however no compression in #2 and #4 cylinder. How difficult is it to replace the rings since I don't want to remove the engine? It looks like I have to remove just about everything under the oilpan to have access.... I'm a disabled veteran and although pretty experienced as back yard mechanic, it looks a bit too difficult for me to do. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also looking for a repair manual for the car, it;s a 1996 model. Gator
