Hi fellow volvo owners, just joined the forum. Bought an automatic 2010 V50 in July, after owning many fords, on the advice of my mechanic "Once you drive one you wont go back to a ford" was what he said & he's 100% correct.
So I became a Volvo v50 automatic owner in July for the 1st time 😃 & In that time ive absolutely loved driving it ever since. Took a bit of time to adjust as always driven fords so controls & locations of buttons switches etc took a bit of getting used to but now really enjoying the driving of it. There is only one puzzling thing about it & its this switch. Ive gone through manuals, asked mechanics but without dismantling the steering casing etc no one knows. It makes a click when engine is on but no sign or display of what it is. Should point out also the car was a disability vehicle at one point but cant see anything to do with that. Any advice would be great 👍
See if there are any wires connected to it, it's an aftermarket switch and doesn't come with the car normally. I think the top of the steering wheel cover pops right off after removing 2 screws holding the trim around the gauges. Not completely familiar with the V50s or p3s. Or pull the panel off from above your feet and you should be able to see up there.
