2003 XC70 2.5T - unusual noise

2003 XC70 2.5T - unusual noise
Last week my XC70 started to make an unusual noise.
It only happens when you take your foot off the accelerator at speeds over 40 KPH.
If I accelerate again, the noise goes away, then when you take your foot off the accelerator, the noise comes back.
The noise is hard to describe, but maybe a bearing? and hard to determine where it comes from, maybe the front right wheel or the centre driveshaft.
My thought is that it may be a universal joint, but I have been underneath and there appears to be no movement, or maybe the right front wheel bearing, or something to do with the Haldex2, automatic AWD system.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
