Just joined. Will be bringing home a 2004 XC70 with 110k miles in a couple weeks. First Volvo car for me. Drove it for a few days and I liked it.

 

Congrats on your purchase and welcome! What are your plans for it?

 

I was initially looking for something to pull my drift boat with like a Ford Explorer or similar. I use my V6 Accord now for towing it but its really not the best for that. But when we were visiting some kins in southern Virginia 2 weeks ago, my sis in law loaned me the XC70 to drive while I was there. She later mentioned that she was selling it.

Apparently, the XC70 has a 3400 lb towing capacity!! My boat does not weigh more than 1000 lbs. And it has lots of space for my fishing gear.

So that will be its primary purpose.
