I don't see why not - you'd need to replace the buckets and remove the ballasts so you may need to do some wiring to replace connectors. Most people want to go the opposite and replace their halogens with Xenons so you may find a resale market for your parts or even somebody willing to trade parts.

You will probably need a custom wiring harness as well. From my experience with looking to put the Xenons in a 2006 S60, the pins are in different locations for the headlight wiring harness. There is not much info online so youd have to test each prong.

Also, not sure if your CEM will accept the halogens either. Custom programming might be required.

I do see you're in the UK, might be different there. I believe laws and regulations there would require you to have washers or wipers on your headlights, and if you swap out the entire assembly instead of rewiring, wipers will destroy the plastic lens on the halogen assemblies.

Hi, I also have 2006 XC70 with Xenon lights and would like to swap them out for halogen. Although my lenses are ok ish there is some heat damage to the inside due to the dip beam being on all the time as daylight running, which I have always thought OTT. The replacement lamp units are V Expensive. I would like to fit new halogen units (much less cost) and maybe fit aftermarket LED running lights.
I am concerned that the cost saving will be negated by the cost of connectors and Volvo Software.to overcome the inevitable error messages.

FWIW: you can get the DRL settings changed using VIDA so you do not have your headlights on all the time. Would be very much worth on Xenon headlights. Also, get your bulbs from FCPEuro.com. Lifetime warranty when they burn out so you only ever need to buy 1 set.
