2007 XC90 Airbag Light -Seat position sensor issues
Hello, first time poster here and I'm hoping someone can help. I've got a 2007 XC90 with an airbag light on and fault codes 2F02 and 2F05 : 'seat position sensor signal low' I've replaced the sensor and cleared codes and it comes back immediately. This led me to the CEM. I removed the CEM and found s little corrosion (pic attached) which I cleaned off. Some corrosion in the fuses as well. I cleaned and replaced all the fuses.
I have had some water intrusion through the A-pillar moonroof drain which I fixed.
Any thoughts here? do you think the CEM is toast even though it appears to be okay? I'm thinking that since both driver and passenger seat sensors are giving faults that it points to a central issue.
**update** After pulling the carpet up, I was able to access the main wiring harness for the passenger cabin. There was a short in the wire leading to the seat position sensor. Cut, soldered and all good!
