"2013 C70 Top Malfunction – Roof Stuck Halfway Closed After Headliner Snagged"
- 2013 Volvo C70
- "Top Malfunction See Manual"
- Headliner snagged on roof arm during closing
- Roof stopped mid-cycle
- Trunk lid partially open
- Unable to access trunk
- Windows do not drop during reset
- Constant beeping when roof switch is held
- Battery disconnect and fuse reset attempted
- Attach the photos you've already shown me
I have had this car for 6 months and all has been great. Made the mistake of operating the top on a angled area, yes in Florida. I guess the panhandle has some slopes.
It seem to make a little pop and it snagged the liner. The last time i opened I was facing straight downhill as I was thinking the side angle was the problem. Well, it got stuck halfway up and snagged the liner again. It strained a little then shut down and got stuck halfway open.
I checked the fuses, disconnected the battery to reset it. When you pull or push the lever to close or open the top. Nothing happens. I get an error message on the dash that states top malfunction check Owner's manual. It does beep about every second that you have it trying to open or close.
Any tips. I and trying to avoid doing the emergency release to close the top to get it to a shop and then what shop do I take it to? Help.
