Hi all. I have recently bought a 94 850 Turbo wagon, 80,000 mi. Among other strange noises I have been noticing is that the speakers make a crackling sound when I touch the volume ****. What is likely the problem? <edited><editID>asbard</editID><editDate>38084.5366203704</editDate></edited>

 

i dont think its the speakers. i heard from a friend who knows a fair amount about radios that an old radio will make a cracking noise when u turn the volume. so its not speaker related, its volume **** and radio related. the same happens on my 91 240

 

Thanks for the info. I guess Iwill need a new radio, if the problem gets too annoying. Next on the agenda are the engine mounts...will this ever end?</P>

 

consider your car an ongoing project, if u want it to run nicely, the project never ends. whats wrong with the motor mounts?

sounds like a wide spread of problems. at that rate, you might as well just swap out the entire engine<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">
