After lotsa research i found i could save about $100 buy buying my coils springs through Tasca in the U.S (any thoughts this company) & get an independent mechanic to replace my coil springs at about $130+tx each side don't know if this is a good price or not , the dealers want $168 per side +tx. thats cnd.
any thoughts?

Tasca is a dealer and they have consistently the lowest prices I've found for Genuine Volvo parts. They are reputable, good to do business with but not always the fastest to ship. You didn't mention your year or model or which springs need to be replaced. I also have shopped FCP Euro, EEuroparts, IPD, Autohausaz to name a few. I had to replace springs on my 2000 S40 (both front and rear) and went with Lesjofors OEM replacments for about $80 US a spring vs $150 for Genuine Volvo. As for install costs, I'd guess about 1.5 hours shop time for each strut, and the rears would vary by the model's set up - probably 1 hour of shop time eah would be about right
