Default Buying 2016 XC60

I’m looking at a 2016 XC60. 48K miles, T5.

I’m a littles alarmed at online information about oil consumption on this car. I know that discontent usually get the most ink so, wanted to see what members of this forum might suggest.

THANKS!!!

The 2016 engines were built with piston rings that could get easily logged, thereby impacting proper engine oil distribution. If the engine was refurbished by a Volvo dealer, and the seller provides documented proof of this, then it might be ok to purchase. However, get an independent mechanic of your choice to conduct a proper prepurchase inspection. If no work has been done on the engine, I personally would not buy it.
