2000 C70 convertible - drivers seat won't fold forward when you pull up the lever on the side of the seat. All electronics work, but won't fold forward. Is this mechanical or an electonic switch. I found two small plastic circular turquise colored contacts about 1/8" in diameter that look like they pop intosmall holes, but don't know if these arerelated or not.I have the seat out and have opened the upholstery at the bottom so I cansee inside the back.The wire appears to be connected to the lever, but I can't see whatthe wireconnects to toward the bottom of the seat.

Any suggestions are welcome.

 

The cable goes from a single connection at the handle to a double connection to the latches on each side. I bet one side is broke.
It is a pretty common problem on these seats.

Please post quiestions like these in the C70 section for more people to look at.
This way it doesn't get overlooked.

 

Yes - I found the cable and it connects to both sides - Is this something I can fix or a shop will need to do it?
