car completely dead!
Hi
Apologies if posting in wrong place -I just joined.
My volvo C70 07 plate 2.4 deisel (D5 engine) just died on me
I cant switch on any lights /the key is stuck in the ignition
the engine wont turn -cant move it out of park.
I charged the battery last night as it initially would nt start and my 6 year old daughter has a habit( a bad one ) of switching her small back light on and forgetting to switch it off.
The battery was fully charged this morning but I am worried I should nt have done this as the car is as i have described completely dead this morning.
Any advise -other than torch it appreciated;-)

All my cars do this when the battery terminals get dirty. When I start trying to take them off and clean them, everything comes back on. if I were you I would assume that I need electricity, and then I need to get it flowing to everything. If it's not the terminals it'll be something similar. You can use a test light or a volt meter to look more in detail.
In any case, having no power to anything is a pretty simple issue. Don't worry.
