I have a 2004 xc90 with diagnostic codes p2190 and p2188 from pep boys, and they said that it could be Possible turbo issues and that they could nit get a proper read because they do not deal wuth turbos. does any one have any suggestion or information to help before i have to "break the bank" at the dealership?

I can look those codes up for you with my Vida, give me a few minutes.

Edit:So the short answer: You are "running rich at idle"- Could be a number of things, possibly your MAF is going out or very dirty, I had this code recently and traced it back to my turbo. More specifically the 3 inch long rubber hose the secures your the plumbing from your intercooler to the turbo body. Mine had a gigantic hole, that I could put two fingers through, in the side of it. That little peach is really east to get to, just follow the 2" pipe that runs from the front of your car OVER the top of, and then behind, your motor. when you run into two hose clamps right next to each other then youve made it. Its worth checking. without hooking up a Dice reader though, its really difficult to get a definitive answer. Good Luck.
