Hi everyone. New member Dicko has bought himself an 850 station wagon, year 1995.Bought on the advise of a Volvo fanatic. Working through lots of issues, the car has been stood idle for some considerable time.
Turns over and starts nicely , first time, but there is a puff of smoke that looks like it is coming from the manifold area. Smells petroly , ( is that a word ) . Takes a few minutes to warm up and appears a little noisy. It’s the 2.4 , 10 valve option. Is it really noisy ?
I am comparing this to my 2024 Kia, which is whisper quiet. Any help appreciated
