Which engine should I choose?
My wife and I are in the market and have been lookingatacquiring avolvo wagon. The new volvos are more than we'd like to spend, and I'm not so sure I like the 3.2L 6's power and fueleconomy compared with what's out there in the segment from bmw.I'm trying to figure out which engine route to go in a used volv
I'm not allowed to go the 6 speed manual route, and am thinking fuel economy is a concern w AWD and 300hp so the 2.5 in thetrick R clad modelsis out.
My mother in law has a 96 850 with a non turbo 2.4 in 5 speed. The pickup is acceptable and fuel economy great, but I'm afraid it's gonna be too weak in a V70 mated to an automatic.
I'm currently torn between the 2.5T or the T5. I'm leaning towards the T5 but they're more difficult to find. I'vebeen toldthat the low pressure turbos aren'tdurable as the T5's. I'm wondering if this is definately the case because I'd expect a high pressure turbo to go before a low pressure setup.
I don't want a dog. I want decent performance and fuel economy better than a midsize suv. Reliability is definately in the equation, but I can turn my own wrenches and do have some problem solving skills. Which engine do you think is best suited?
