First Volvo (2006 s60)
Hello !!! My GF bought a 2006 Volvo S60 2.5T AWD. It listed for $10990 and she paid $9177 before all taxes. Looks SUPER clean. Brand new brakes, brand new Nokian WR-G2's which is an expensive aftermarket tire. Long maintenance record at the local Volvo dealership. All the oil changes and scheduled work was done here on time. The car has 143,000 miles, most are highway. I got the windows tinted, the Trans, both Diffs, and the radiator flushed. All the major moving and cooling parts are clean now. What does the "W" button do ? In the book it says Winter/Wet mode for more traction. How does the AWD work on Volvo's ? Does it sound like she got a great deal ? Thanks for the help !!

Welcome to Volvo, if you posted some pictures that would be great. The AWD system is great. The "W" stands for Winter/wet driving mode, it improves your already good (AWD) traction. It works by starting you in 3rd gear, though I think if you put your shifter to L, then it goes to second. It can be bad on your transmission and should only be used when necessary, like your AWD not being enough to keep your wheels from spinning. It's an average price (what you should expect to pay), especially from a dealer, but by no means was it grossly overpriced.
