Default First Volvo

Just bought my first Volvo today. It's a 2001 S40 automatic with 87,000 on it. Loved it from the moment I saw it and all the way home, well almost all the way. Left the parts store with cleaning stuff and oil change/air cleaner, etc... the stupid check engine light came on.

Hope I can learn everything there is to know about these cars on this sight.

Welcome, get a OBD-II scanner when you get the chance. I purchased a $65 one from eBay but Auto Zone will often scan for you for free.

Keep the gas cap on tight, no less than 3 clicks. Again, Welcome!

Default codes

Turned up with two P0133 codes, O2 sensors...

Now I feel a slight vibration at idle and sometimes while driving. Guess I have a lot to learn.

Thanks

Default Welcome

If the car is running fine, the CEL was triggered by some negligible reason.

If the car came with service record, MAKE SURE to check to see when the timing belt was last changed.

Good luck,

JPN
