Hello,
I have a 94 940 Wagon which has been setting in my yard for a couple years. I got it free of charge and have kept it for a back up vehicle. Well I finally dusted it off and have fixed some the the minor issues such as re soldering the instrument panel, clearing out the hoses for the flame trap, resealing the valve cover as well as doing the overdrive solenoid block off plate.
I do plan on replacing the defective solenoid as getting on the freeway and shifting into overdrive at 45mph kinda pisses people off a little. Still need to fix the speedometer, get turn signal lens's (both were missing) fix the power seats and other minor stuff. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of these older Volvo cars.
