Has 120,*** miles on it and its got a few wrinkles that need to be ironed out but with a little TLC this car will be more than a Volvo it will be MY Volvo. good luck, my first volvo let me down by after 4 months by over heating.

 

I just bought a 2006 S40 with 104,000 miles. The car looks very nice, but unfortunately for me I really didn't check everything out before I bought it. There is so much wrong with this car, I'm starting to really regret my decision. The check engine light came on driving it home from the guy's house. And I noticed what sounds like an exhaust leak, but maybe in intake air noise? at low RPM acceleration. The shifter plate plastic (under the trim piece) is broken so it won't go into manual shift mode. Wheel bearing is going out. AM radio reception is horrible. Only has 1 key and a new key is $400 from the dealer. And yesterday one of the wiper blades FELL OFF during operation and the wiper arm scratched the windshield. This is my first Volvo, and I'm thinking it may be my last....
