fresh of the farm
hi guys and gals. thought i'd introduce myself.
i'm david, age 25. live just outside oslo, norway (any others here from scandinavia here?)
main interests is cars, bikes and i love seeing people do things them selvs. not much for people saying "i just spent XXXXXXX bucks on having a workshop do my car"
i drive big rigs for a living, and love being out on the open road.
i've got a '86 model 740 wich i'm doing up after many years of use and abuse (you can't kill these cars) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...bruksbilen.jpg
work in progress
i'll probobly be annoying you with questions on where to get a hold of US-marked only parts, since i'm trying to do something different with my 740. but on the other hand, i can help you guys get a hold of euro style parts [sm=smiley20.gif]

RE: fresh of the farm
thanks guys, feel welcome already
i don't know what the paintcode is over the pond, but when i got it here, she checked the dbase for me, and it's not a stock color from any manufacturer. i found it on the same page as volkswagen' "techno-blau" but it's got a lot more mother of pearl in it.
only thing that is annoying me is that the guy i got to spray it, did such a messed up job that i have to have it done again. problem is that cause of my job, i haven't really got the time to start sanding it down again and doing the bondo. i hate doing the same job twice due to some guy doing a halfassed job.

RE: fresh of the farm
well, have to have an okay daily driver you know.
i better warn you guys now so you know.
i'm a pure power addict. my 740 will end up in the 400-500hp range, my bike has a turbo-kit waiting to happen (round 220hp) and my big project car will be a 2.9L, 8V, single turbo 4-didgit power monster.
that's the problem of peer pressure. my best friend has his own tuning company and some of my other friends runs supra's, skylines, 3000GT' and so on. none of them stock, none of them boring.
i'm not trying to brag, simply telling where i'm coming from.
