hello everyone, my name is Harry and I have been driving a 1991 740 for about 2 and a half years. I love it, but i would like to know if anyone knows how wide is the 740's exhaust pipe is. I would like to put some flowmasters on mine, and they are 2.25 in diameter. thanx

 

The stock pipe is like 1 3/4 or something like that.You can buy adapters to make it fit.Or you can have an exhaust shop make a custom pipe from the back of the cat converter and then go from there.A buddy of mine has a 740 turbo and had a custom exhaust made for his 3 inch from the turbo to the rear of the car.
