Default Good day all!

Hi there! Not actually a Volvo owner yet, but I am looking. I am in the market for a second car for around town and commute to work. As part of my due diligence I always join a forum for before and after the purchase.

I am looking at a 2007 S40, 2.4i. I do not know much about it yet. I was just navigating Craigslist and came across it. It supposedly has a blown motor. I should say that just about every car I have purchased, I got because it had a blown something. I am not flipping cars or something. My first car I got because it had a blown transmission. My current car had a blown motor, which I fixed just by replacing the crankshaft.

So I came here to hopefully learn more about them. And if it would even be worth my time. I did some research on the S40. Sounds like a basic, entry level luxury car, small and nimble. Not much for thrills but all the expected creature comforts. And quite safe I hear compared to lesser cars, and seemingly fairly well built and capable of handling winters.

Thanks in advance for the forum and any advice!

Welcome to the forum Lurking in the subsection for the model car you're considering you should be able to learn a lot. Feel free to post up any questions you have as it's so much easier finding out something before you but than after
