Ciao guys,
my name is Bjorn, I am a German soldier currently posted in Italy.
I have been registered to this forum since February 2015, but, as I noted right now, I have not introduced myself which I wanna do now. A bit delayed, but better late than never.
In December 2014 I bought a 2007 Volvo XC90 3.2 AWD from an US Navy guy here in Italy after my wife and I had been hijacked in our house. At this opportunity our cars were also gone. Hence, we needed badly another one.
At this time we did not care that the Volvo has US specs as we thought we would sell it once we go back to Germany. But, we really like our car. Thus, we will take the car with us back to Germany. It is a bit tricky and will cost some money as there is a lot of paperwork to be produced and provided to the German authorities in order to get it registered in the German system. But it is worthwhile. Also, it is difficult to get spare parts as the Volvo dealers in Europe are not very supportive. Okay, at least, those I was in contact with.
And that is my main issue. I always try to get my stuff online at US webpages. Normally the price-performance ratio is okay, but for the moment I just need some bulbs. Unfortunately Italian streets are not the best one which means quite often the bulbs are dying. Mainly the front lights but right now I have some issues with the tail lights. I have an English manual but it looks like that this is for EU specs cars only, as the bulbs which are mentioned in the manual are different to those which are in the car. I could not find the right one in Italian stores and the next Volvo dealer is 1,5 hrs away from my place.
I would be really grateful if someone could provide a manual for an 2007 US Volvo XC90, or, at least, the page with the bulbs specifications as pdf. I already tried to find a manual online but I have not been successful by doing so.
