Greetings from Providence, RI. !
Just recently became a Volvo owner again after too long of an absence. My very first Volvo at the age of 16 (in 1971!) was a black 1966 Volvo 122s four door and I probably owned a half dozen other 122s including a couple of wagons (my favorites) during the 70s and 80s. The B 18 motor was the very first engine that I ever rebuilt with the help of a good friend in the mid 70's. My new Volvo (which my wife is driving) is a 2006 XC70 wagon which we just got last week after her 2004 Passat 4 Motion wagon was nearing the end of its life. The first thing that I'd like to find out about this new generation of Volvos is: is there a computer diagnostic program similar to VAG-COM (for AUDI/VW) that Volvo uses for the OBD? If not, what is the preferred method of troubleshooting and is there a workshop manual other than the Haynes series to assist with repairs? Thanks in advance for your help, Paul

Thank you, VIDA-DICE? Is this an acronym......?
for a Volvo consortium of vehicles or is it just a goofy name? I went directly to the Haynes Manual website and from what I could tell, they don't make a workshop manual for this car either. Any recommendations on a decent repair manual for this car? Thank you...
