Default Greetings, Vineys in the house

Morning all

The names Viney, 33 going on 18 [8D] Just brought myself a nice little 97 S40 2.0i. I collect it this Saturday. I currently have a Vauxhall astra SRi. Im also into bikes, and my daily transport is a Suzuki SV650.

I am planning to do some modifications to the S40, including ECU upgrade, suspension, and proabably the airfilter, also upgrading the soundsystem in the car. So all advice is welcome.

Now, wheres the bar, *throws card behind bar*

Morning Vinney,
You wouldn't happen to be picking that S40 up from Reading would you? I also ride bikes CBR600 and Pan Euro so you can imagine the stick I got when I said I was buying a Volvo.

ooo, also, i hope to shed some light on tuning over the next couple of months. I know that the engine is a bit strangled, so will be looking at various bits and bobs. I will post up details and photos as and when i get round to doing it all.

Things on the list
ECU upgrade - +40hp
Suspension - Lower, and uprate
K&N pannel filter
Cosmetic - Black grill, and boot spoiler

Interior, well, uprate the soundsystem, and maybe a dash trim kit. Need to see one 1st to see if they are anygood.

Have i lost any of you yet?

Cool. Im not looking for drag car performance, but after modding the bike, and owning a fully blown modified XR2 some years ago, its time to play with cars again

How come you mentioned Reading - the best town (cause we are not an official City still!) in the Thames Valley?

Any UK based members want to get in touch? Maybe I'll do a separate post and we can sort out a meet sometime.[sm=icon_cheers.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif][sm=icon_cheers.gif] Kaliber-stylee of course
