Hi all my name is Dave i live in upstate ny. i'll come clean now. i'm a vw driver/enthusiast and amatuer mechanic. My mom is a very nice lady with a pretty fun/sweet car ( sorta embarrassing when ur mom can whip u in a race?) a 98 S70 T5, 5spd, 145K, Bright red. it spent the first 7 months of its life in Texas, and from may 98 on in upstate NY. She bought it new and still loves it. As its aging and we've been messed with nicely by local dealers n private shops, i offered to do any work i could, i'm pretty handy on vw's and have had some basic education with cars(1 class a term for 3 semesters). so i hope to learn and avoid being flamed as much as possible (not possible on some of the vw forums).
