New to the forum and wanted to say a quick hello. I'm on my third Volvo now, a 2007 S80 that I'm very happy to own. I had two previous Volvos, an '88 740 GL Wagon that I drove for almost 220k Miles and then traded in for a '93 960 Wagon which had a little over 200k Miles when I sold it in '99. I thought I'd go with something a bit smaller, but sporty and elegant so I ended up with a 2000 Cadillac Eldorado which was a great car but a real gas guzzler and too inconvenient with being a coupe. So it was back to Volvo for the S80, a great car and highly underrated IMHO. Our friends love it but they all asked what it was and were so surprised when they found out it was a Volvo. The most frequently heard comment was along the lines of "I didn't know Volvo made cars like this!".

I'd have to say I'm now a Volvo customer for life, with my sons continuing the tradition. My youngest is searching for his first pre-owned looking for an S60 to drive back and forth to UNC each day. It won't be difficult to find but to choose one. I've noticed that Volvo owners really do take care of their cars.

Looking forward to getting to know other Volvo owners on the forum and discussing our cars and anything else that comes to mind.

We are waiting for Volvo to return back to independent and shake off the negative influence of F... you know (I admit, however, that F... makes one of the best trucks and you can't ignore Mustang).
