Hello All, 740 Turbo Petrol Owner.
Hello Everyone.
New to the forum so just want to introduce myself. My name is Neil and last year inherited my late Fathers 1987 740 Turbo Estate which he bought when he retired in 1989 with about 22K on the clock, It has a full VSH and has only just turned 110K miles, it has a few knocks and scraps but essentially it is a very solid car. Now purist read no more, but having done a bit of homework it seems these cars are extreamely tuneable which has excited me, a new challenge. Although in the time my Father owned it I used it several times it is not the same as living with it. Having now taken it on it is a very pratical car, albiet not the most ecconomical, but then if I wanted efficiency I would buy a diesel Micra or something as boring, my other toy is a 1979 Rover SD1 modified V8 which struggles to return 20mpg on a good day, so mid 20's is a bit of a bonus. There are quite a few questions I want to hit you lot, but that's for later.
Regards. Neil.
