any ideas why heater fan only operates on high ?... thanks all
new fan motor installed , but no change
on the 89 740

 

Sounds like you have a failed resistor pack. If this is on the 740 it shouldn't be so hard to get at. Now if you ever have to replace the blower motor on the 240 make sure you replace the resistor pack at the same time since all of the labor is the same.

 

There was no need to change the fan on your 740. It was the fan blower resistor that was out. Change it and all will be fine.

 

thanks all, it was the resister pack, i found 1 at a junk yard... and now all good.......... i replaced the fan fan motor, because it was making a lot of noise........
