Default Hello forum Members

Hi members,

I am about to purchase a 98 V70 AWD turbo 5 spd manual. The engine has about 200k km, and just recently installed. The original motor overheated due to a busted rad and had 249k km... Entire timing kit was replaced before the install, including water pump, new clutch and pressure plate. I think he said that the tie rods were replaced, a new rad of course... He said that when he reinstalled the engine and gearbox, he broke a wire that controls the AWD... I am not 100% sure of that comment as I really don't know the car and it's technology at this point in time. It's the 2.4 L I5 turbo...the waste gate was plugged and subsequently repaired...I haven't test driven it yet, but was told its hot and tight...( where have I heard that before ;-) ) Ill test drive it when Im ready to buy...

I am about to pull the trigger but really want some feedback from you members before proceeding.

Being a regular member on other VB bulletin auto Forums, and having my own worklogs on them, I am very familiar with the search button!! Which I did and quickly surmised that there were drivertain issues with the 98-99 model...

But I digress...any advice please post as I value your feedback...
