Hello from ND
I just bought a 1991 240 wagon that needs work. I've always wanted one and found a straight, rust free example, no small trick with the salt up here. It leaks oil everywhere and is un-driveable. I have put in all new seals on the front of the motor along with timing belt, new flame trap and valve cover gasket. Next is the oil pan gasket. I am pretty sure it needs a new rear seal. I'm really nervous about trying that one. My garage isn't really set up for it and it sounds pretty difficult. A local shop said they could do it for around $550. That seems like a good deal to me, should I go for it?
