Hello, new S80 T6 owner
Hey guys!
I just bought a black 1999 S80 T6 fully loaded! I will physically be getting the car tomorrow, but all paperwork was done just a few hours ago.
I bought a 95 Acura Integra RS last summer, it did its job but I wanted a fast car. I decided to buy an 87 turbo Dodge Daytona Shelby Z, and it was a VERY quick car (18lb of boost and stock parts taken to the max, for cheap) till I threw a valve or something about two weeks ago. I get knock and it has major issues now but it was a ticking time bomb from the day I got it. I don't have time to fix it up right now but I will rebuild the engine this winter and am aiming for RELIABLE 300whp all day. That will be my summer/drag strip car. Anyway I put the money I got from selling the Acura plus some more into a nice daily driver I can reliably drive every day. I was looking for cars last night and a nice 1999 S80 T6 caught my eye. The asking price was $8900 and it was black, fully loaded, white leather with only 85000KM! I saw the car today and haggled it down to $8000. I test drove the sh*t out of it and it's very capable for a sedan. I forgot to mention, I'm, only 18. Don't worry, I'm no ricer, I'm an excellent driver and I am very mechanically inclined.
One question for you guys: how much boost is it running stock and how high can I safely go on stock parts (chip or manual controller only)? Would it be safe to push the engine to ~14-15 psi which would be the max you can get out of a 2bar map?
