I just bought me a 1977 volvo 3 days ago and im already loveing it,its got it perks. it runs and drives great just needs a tune up like most cars do. last night i tried to turn my dash lights on in the car and nothing was working , then this morning i replaced the fuse in the car and they still dont turn on. i dont know alot about the old style fues at all. i dont know if its the fues or the bulb. if someone could help me out that would be great. thanks

 

dont know if your car has that rather useless feature, but in my '89 740 it turned out to be the dimmer-potentiometer thingy for controlling the dash lights brightness.

 

Well i took the middle dash out yesterday, to see what was up with my tape player which is not a volvo radio. as im takeing the dash out someone had cut most of the wires that stuff they thought was useless for the car. the lights in the middle dash dont work anymore... bummer for me but at leace it runs.... all i need to do is take out my dash so i can see how fast and were my gas is at when im driveing at night.
